Tim O’Brien & Darrell Scott

tim darrellThis is a post for my buddy Wilder out in New York City.   So he can have some new tunes driving down to Del Fest this weekend which features a stellar lineup.   He is staying at Rocky Gap Resort if you want to plan an anahuac.

I was planning on not mentioning Wilder at this site and blocking his IP address from accessing this incredible resource seen that he hosted a long time mutual friend at his house recently and chose to not even mention this blog to him.   But he helped me figure out the subscribe links over the side here somewhere (—–>) which is going to help you from missing out on anything here.   So I thought I would throw him a bone because I might need his help in the future.

This set features the bluegrass wizard Tim O’Brien and helped introduce me to Darrell Scott who I was not familiar with prior to hearing it.   Great harmony vocals, especially on the a cappella Hank Williams tune “House of Gold”.   The picking is also first rate and things step up a notch after Casey Driessen drops in late in the set.

They were playing this set supporting their studio record “Real Time” and is a nice companion to that release.   I have not been to Grand Targee Bluegrass but from what I hear its in the middle of nowhere and everyone is there to have a real good time.
