A while back I came across a video “Evening Gown” on Youtube by the fine country balladeer Mick Jagger:
Filmed at the Webster Hall in New York City on February 9th 1993 in support of the new Mick Jagger solo album “Wandering Spirit“. Seeing other songs listed from this show on Youtube I immediately started scouring my sources for the Live Recording. It was not to be found.
Anyway I have been scrounging through the Harris Audio Archive recently and I found this gem in my own collection. Popping it in I discovered it was an impeccable soundboard recording of the show. I imagine you will enjoy it also so I have made it available to you in mp3 format here.
This set displays the versatility of this true Rock and Roll genius, Mick Jagger. Effortlessly moving from straight ahead Rockers (“Wired all Night”, “Put Me in the Trash”) to Gospel / Blues Rock (“Out Of Focus”) to Country (“Evening Gown”) to Falsetto Funk (“Sweet Thing”) to covering Soul (“Use Me” and “Think”). “Don’t Tear Me Up” is a gem that would have been on any Rolling Stones Greatest Hits album if he chose to do it with that band.

Here is the setlist:
