Continuing in the Los Lobos Fillmore run from 1998, here is the second night. Plenty of guests come out to jam on this one. A couple weeks ago I saw Los Lobos play a street concert in the suburbs of Chicago. They had a bunch of young kids come out to play with them. Which was pretty cool to see, and a couple of them could really play. It was a great show, Los Lobos can still rock!
You can sample the tune “Maricela” over here.

Man oh man, you are really doing us right. I can’t wait for the Atlanta show. What kind of venue was the Chi Town show? Any recordings?
The show I saw was in the street with a couple thousand people. Free too! Most of the crowd had been there all day in the heat and were toasted. Some dude spilled a full beer down my shoes. They played some blues standards, Red House, Purple Haze, Crossroads that I hadn’t heard them play before. I don’t know if it was recorded. I’ve dug up a few more Lobos shows that I will post. Narrowed it down to about 4 more essential shows. When are you heading out to see them?
Aug 28 in Hotlanta, they’re playing at the botanical gardens in Piedmont Park.
I love it when they do covers and put there own touch to them.
Nice site. thanks for the music
Thanks for the comment Jeff. What other bands are you into? Anything else you would like to see posted here?
