Los Lobos – Aggie Theater – Fort Collins, CO – 8-24-1999

by Luke Harris on July 24, 2009

hidalgoFor a young guy growing up in Australia, going to Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, was an experience.   Living at The Castle a few blocks from the Aggie Theater, where great live bands came often, was quiet the lifestyle.

My room mate for a while was one of the owners of the venue.   We had a great deal.   He would get us into any of the shows if we distributed show hand bills to all the pretty girls on campus!

We went to a lot of shows.   And this was one of the best.   These guys know how to jam and put on a great show.   I saw them a few weeks ago in Chicago and they can still rock.

You can sample the tune “Angel Dance” from this soundboard recording over here.

I’m taking requests!   Los Lobos was a request from one of my email subscribers, Matches.   If you are reading this in your email box feel free to forward the email on to your friends.   And if your not subscribed, you can do that here, because then you wont miss anything!   You will only receive blog posts from me, as they are posted.

Nice – how was Johnny Cougler? Did they play any tunes together?

That should be a lot of fun. Ric has great taste in music!

Thanks Chief! Peter Rowan soon? :) Did Wilder locate some?

Peter Rowan is up today. Found a few over the weekend. Got him in a few different bands from over 30 years. Gonna pick a few and try to do him right. Wilder was too busy to search the collection as the trunk of his car was full of a couple hundred dollars worth of booze. However he did redesign the blog – what do you think?
