I think I know why you are here…

QuestionMark

On this blog page, that is.

It’s not because of the way the site looks, because it’s unorganized, lacking balance and symmetry.   It’s not because I am incredibly handsome and married to one of the nations finest women.   Even thought my wife is really hot and its taken me a lot of hard work to look this good.

You are here because you love live music and want to find some live recordings.

You enjoy the experience of watching musicians making music in front of your eyes and ears.   The anticipation heading to the show with your mates, wondering what the band is going to play.   Feeling the excitement when they walk out onto the stage and the crowd gives its first eruption of celebration.   Getting locked into the groove laid down by the rhythm section.   Enveloped in the pocket greased by the piano or guitar.   Soaring as the guy soloing takes the whole band to new heights.   Taking with them you and the rest of the crowd.

And the crowd fires the band up even more.   The connection between the musicians and the audience, firing each other up, creates the magic.   Each making a bigger contribution, and getting more in return.

The musician plays the show of their life and your mind blown in amazement.   It’s the experience that reinforces your belief in how fucking great it is to be alive!   Even when times are hard, the music helps you come to terms with your humanity, and gives you hope that tomorrow can be a better day.

That’s why I started this life affirming blog.   This celebration of life.

I write this blog because I want you to enjoy the hard drives and DVD’s I have full of Live Music Recordings.   My collection is incredible, and I want it to be yours too.   I am getting the process figured out and I am going to post more frequently.

Initially I thought that by spreading around free music we could all support our favorite musicians and help them get a bigger following.   And ultimately fix the broken music industry.

I still want to do that, but I want to do more, and I want you to join me.   Its common knowledge that a large part of the worlds population is living in poverty.   We all need to do something because its going to take a lot to solve global poverty.

Why don’t you join the Kiva Lending Team I started today because you can make a difference by helping someone else.

You can lend someone living in poverty as little as $25 to buy a sewing machine, livestock or inventory for their store, to build their business.   They pay it back over 6 months or whatever the terms of the loan are.   You can then get your money back or lend it to another person.

Your loan can bring dignity to someones life by helping them work their way out of poverty.   We are all connected, and just like the connection between a band and an audience, together we can make something good happen.

I am going to add some more information to the page above called Make A Difference.

Be sure to grab the RSS feed or get updates via email, because the fun has only started.

Thanks for creating a fantastic site! I’m excited to branch out from my collection of Bob Dylan live concert recordings, and into some Willie and other good stuff. I’ll send a few bucks Kiva’s way, too.
