Great photo of Hot Rize on the Telluride Stage in the early 80′s. During this show Tim O’Brien talks of Telluride as the most beautiful bluegrass festival in the world. I couldn’t agree more. You may also enjoy some of the more scenic shots of the festival over on Bobby Falc’s Blog.
Somewhere during this set Tim also mentions what got him psyched up for the festival this year. He was out hanging laundry in his yard where he could hear one of his neighbors playing tapes from the Festival. I have been listening to all the shows I have from Telluride Bluegrass and this is one of the best. So grad this show and the others, play them load and be an inspiration to your neighborhood.
The featured song, “Shady Grove”, is here to stream. Special guests appear throughout. Including Jerry Douglas who does some terrific work on a lot of this set.
