Dwight Yoakam – Fillmore Auditorium 12-31-1985

This fine Dwight Yoakam show goes out to some fine gentlemen out in Denver, CO.   Download as mp3′s here.

Dwight Yoakam played the opening set for the Los Lobos 1985 New Years Eve celebration at the Fillmore in San Francisco.   If you have located the Los Lobos show hook a brother up.   I am sure it circulates in the same quality as this one here.

This is a glimpse at Dwight Yoakam at his transition from Country Music cover band to Bakersfield Country super star.   There is some great Telecaster guitar from Pete Anderson, paying homage to the rockabilly guitar work of James Burton and Don Rich.

If this one doesn’t get you having a good time then nothing will.
