This one was a request from my buddy Wilder. I was going to post it anyway, but after I smoked him 6 – 0 in Tennis the other day I figured I should do it for him.
Alison is playing with a different configuration of Union Station than the one she shot to super stardom with. Many of these tunes she no longer plays live, even thought she is currently taking a break from the road. Except for a recent gig at the White House.
Alison Brown plays banjo in this band. I saw here play at Telluride a couple years ago with her own quintet and I was blown away. She can really play. I put the gospel tune “Livin’ in The Name of Love” over here as a sample you can listen to.
