Al Green – Bonnaroo – Manchester, TN 6.12.2009

This is a happy birthday post to my good mate, Vincent Valentine.   Have a good one, Vince!

For all you lovers out there this is the green light to put on a little mood music to get things moving in the right direction.   To that end there is no better that Al Green.   Happy Valentines day!

The Reverend Al Green released a great record last year, Lay It Down, with The Roots’ ?uestlove on drums and producing.   He plays the records title tune at this show and most of his classic tunes from the 70’s.   And from what I hear is typical fashion for the Reverend, he doesn’t play an encore.

You can listen to the tune Here I Am (Come And Take Me) right here.
